Christmas Countdown, Day 18

Day 18: Luke 2:15
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
Have you ever met an angel?  This time of year there are angels on top of trees, lighted angels in front yards and angels being heard on high.
What if one of those angels spoke to you?

I can't imagine living at the time of Jesus' birth.  And then I can't imagine actually witnessing his as a child.
Just think on that one for a minute.  Looking at the face of Jesus as a sweet little vulnerable baby.  It makes me think of the song Mary Did You Know.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would some day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when your kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

Oh Mary did you know

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will walk again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great I am
